1) Price – know your price range before you shop!  At least know the rough amount you can spend!

2) Size – do you need something portable, or is size/portability not a consideration?

3) Flower or Concentrate – You need to decide whether or not you want to pack your vap with flower (loose leaves) or concentrate.   If you plan to also smoke it, you’ll want to probably go with loose leafs because otherwise you’ll be buying both leaves plus concentrate.  If you think you’ll go all concentrate, then that’s the obvious choice.

4) Conduction vs Convection – conduction uses heat, convection uses hot air.  Both do the job but convection is more efficient.  With conduction, they heat more unevenly because the leaf has to actually be touching the metal plate.  If you don’t care either way, then just use the other criteria on this page!
